I believe I can confirm this bug. I installed Earcandy 0.5 from this dev
PPA using Synaptic Package Manager. The program appeared under
APPLICATIONS>ACCESSORIES>Ear Candy. When I tried to run it, I received
the following error message:
Could not launch "Ear Candy"
I need to add that although "earcandy" starts when provided the correct
name "ear_candy", it does not remain in the system tray for very long.
It appears to kill itself after a very short time and no longer shows up
in System Monitor as a process.

Installed Hardy RC and then did daily updates to Hardy Final. Since the
release of Hardy Final, I can not perform a "Restart". Each time I hit
"Restart" the screen is wiped clean of all icons and other desktop

I have been using a clean install of Hardy Beta since its release and
all current updates. I, too, have the same problem: i.e. there is no way
to set a static ip address and make it work. The only thing that works
is to leave the default "Enable Roaming" mode checked.
