** Description changed:

Update of Oct.11, 2007 consisting of 7 compiz and xorg related packages
has caused erratic problems with compiz cube and gnome panel.

Opening an app like 'Evolution' on desktop 1 and right clicking on upper
left window icon to 'move application to another workspace', (to desktop
2), results in the following combination of problems:

- 1. 'Workspace Switcher' applet in the top gnome panel stops working: no
- icon of Evolution appears in 'desktop 2' box and clicking on desktop 2
- box spins cube to desktop 2, but desktop 2 only shows the desktop
- background. No 'Evolution' app is visible, no top panel or bottom
- gDesklet launcher panel are present.
+ 1. 'Workspace Switcher' applet in the top gnome panel works erraticly:
+ no icon of Evolution appears in 'desktop 2' box and clicking on desktop
+ 2 box spins cube to desktop 2, but desktop 2 sometimes shows 'Evolution'
+ and other other times nothing but desktop background. Using CTL+ALT+LEFT
+ ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to spin the cube seems to make all desktop elements
+ disappear (gnome top panel, gDesklet bottom launcher panel and desktop
+ shortcuts), while clicking on the 'Workspace Switcher' boxes does not.

  2. Desktops 3 and 4 a totally devoid of a gnome top panel and bottom
gDesklet launcher panel. The only thing displayed is the background
  desktop.

+ 3. The 'Window List' panel only shows the apps for each desktop,
+ although I have it set in Preferences to show all the apps on all
+ desktops. The only way to get back a 'missing' app is to click on the
+ 'Window List' for a specific desktop.
+
  3. Ctl+Alt+Backspace does not restore the correct desktop/cube. A full
restart is required to get back correct operation of display.
