I had the same symptoms when I tried to open a file in a directory with
a lot of files. This kept happening on further opens because that file
was now in the "File" dropdown as recently opened. I'm attaching an

-23 version doesn't seem to have it. It seems to sometimes boot and
sometimes not. Disabling noapic has the same sluggish mouse efect. It

I haven't touched any gnome-media config that I'm aware. I have a test
user that has a standard config and the same thing happens with it.

I've hit the same bug when upgrading tonight. I was able to upgrade
after some runs of "apt-get install -f" and "apt-get dist-upgrade". I'm

I miss these too. Dapper had them all included in a single package and
now that they are split ubuntu doesn't carry all. aspell-pt is depending

As far as I know this really was a bug with the edgy upgrade. I didn't
use the editor. I installed jokosher and pitivi. I also installed
rhythmbox and banshee but I think those were after this problem. Maybe
one of those did something. I have no idea.

Sometimes after I unplug the power cable I get this:

This probably happens because of network activity when setting up the
driver. Because of SMP packets are probably received before the driver
is fully initialized. Before dual-core processors this was probably

This keeps happening to me when doing dist-upgrades in edgy. Update-
manager likes to do some dist-upgrades sometimes and it always seems to

I pointed this bug out to Richard Hughes (upstream author) and he
thought it was a bug in libusb. I can't reproduce this on 10.04. If you
can upgrade to the beta or when the final release comes out and see if
the problem is gone that would be helpful.

This seems to be somewhat related to suspend and I once again got what
looks like the same oops after doing a suspend and resume cycle. This
cycle was unusual in that after opening the lid of the laptop it resumed
and then immediately suspended again. I've attached the full kern.log up
to the time

camera as input in gnome-volume-control. The two cards still show up in
the hardware tab so the driver seems to still be working.

Deleting ~/.pulse and ~/.pulse-cookie and restarting seems to have
solved this. There was another bug where this was the case. Seems like
an upgrade problem then.
