Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17

I have a white macbook (2Ghz core 2) with intel hda sound. Sometimes, on
some boots the left audio channel will have distortion while the right
one is fine. I'm guessing it's clipping but I'm not an audio geek. I
guess it's a problem with the initialization of the card. I think cold
boots fix it so I'm guessing some register isn't being properly cleaned.
What else can I do to debug this?

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
