I have the same issue - on a desktop computer. This is a dump of some
info from duel boot windows. Note: I am able to boot in a recovery mode
if I select the Safe Graphics mode. My router does not indicate a live
connection to the network card. Please indicate additional information

Title:
Linux 3.5
The wiki page does not (seem to) correspond to this version of grub. A
short explanation of how to log boot output to a text file would be
helpful. I did remove the quiet and splash options but the other
options are different.
Starting with Natty (Ubuntu 11.04), also remove the parameter

The latest 3.5 stable kernel got to the login screen but in an incorrect
graphics mode and without the mouse or keyboard functioning. I noticed
that the Ethernet was connected but the router showed that it was at the
low (10mB) speed.
I only upgraded the kernel. I did not upgrade the headers - I
I have tried the kernel as well but it did not work. I am including the
output that Arsen included from my -17 kernel that I am running on the
same machine.

Everything Petr is pretty much the same with me. I have two Radeon HD
video cards and had the same results with 64 bit 3.5.7 kernel (boot with
no low/slow graphics and no peripherals).

h
@Yngve I am like you. I uninstalled -27 and am using my previous
version until a viable fix comes out. AFIK there is no real rush in
upgrading the kernel and so uninstalling will revert your normal boot to
a working kernel . I uninstalled it through the software center: Run

@Steve Conklin- This is a kernel testing question. Do we need to install
the headers for these kernels in order to test them. It is my understand
that those headers are only relevant to system developers.

@Steve Conklin - I installed all three files and it worked perfectly.
Graphics seem normal and all peripherals are available. Please let me
know if you need additional information and how to capture it.
I installed these 3 files via the Download and Software update Center

@Steve I am making sure that I understand this correctly based on this git
documentation:
http://git-scm.com/book/en/Git-Tools-Debugging-with-Git
We need to test Ubuntu-3.5.0-27.43 since we know Ubuntu-3.5.0-27.42 is
now marked as good. (I have not used git at this level before)

Seem to be GOOD. I will continue to run them today and see if I have
any problems like
I have let this kernel suspend and have manually suspended it and it seems
to behave normally. I have noticed only one place where the graphics seem
a bit hinky but nothing I can duplicate. At this point all
other behavior seems normal.

I am posting this for anyone testing kernels that has as weak an

The next to last set of kernels did not show up in my Software Center so
I ran the following commands in the terminal.
