The latest 3.5 stable kernel got to the login screen but in an incorrect graphics mode and without the mouse or keyboard functioning. I noticed that the Ethernet was connected but the router showed that it was at the low (10mB) speed.
I only upgraded the kernel. I did not upgrade the headers - Is it necessary? I a currently booted into a kernel that is version 16 from a few weeks ago. Everything is functioning normally with this kernel. Let me know what to do next and how to assist in debugging. I am not a Linux admin but I am a programmer so I can at least follow instructions :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1167114 Title: Linux 3.5.0.27.43 does not boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1167114/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
