Public bug reported:
I boot the Edgy Knot-2 CD on this Thinkpad T22 w/ S3 Inc. 86C270-294
Savage/IX-MV video chipset, and when I launch firefox, the fonts are not
antialiased, despite other applications' fonts being so. Will attach a
screenshot.

OK, I see now that the fonts as setup by default are "Times",
"Helvetica", and "Courier," which apparently aren't antialiasable? Once
I changed the fonts in the firefox preferences to "serif", "sans-serif",
and "monospace", everything was peachy.

Yeah, it's definitely a bug to have ugly fonts selected by default.

This appears to be fixed in Edgy's versions of things (0.9.2-1).

This is essentially a dupe of bug #36700 with a request to backport
0.9.2-1 to dapper (it's already in edgy).

This does raise a question about bugs in dapper, since it's the LTS
release. What's the policy for bug reports that continue to affect
dapper that are fixed in edgy?

Just confirming that the -386 kernel was of no help on my Thinkpad T22.
It still fails to turn off, but only when the power cable is plugged
and/or unplugged while booted.

Public bug reported:
When I do "File/Import" once, f-spot works properly. The second time I
run File/Import (in the same instance of f-spot), it chews up a lot of
system load (according to the system monitor) and pops out to apport.
This is with the latest edgy packages of f-spot.
