*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 64487 *** I've been seeing this to on just one of my edgy machines. It's a Dell with a Radeon 7500 chip in it and an external LCD connected via a regular VGA cable. During bootup and shutdown, the monitor says the video mode isn't supported. Once X is up and running, everything's peachy, though.
