Binary package hint: par2
The par2 packages have (apparently) been broken on ppc for some time
now. The last working package was from hoary. I found this out today
after trying to use par2 to verify some files and repeatedly getting
this error message ("main packet not found").
I then found this URL:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-90148.html which
indicated a course of action. After getting the hoary version of the
par2 package, it works properly again.
