Actually, I'm guessing it is more likely a qt 4.5 issue -- that was the
only significant update as far as I can see.

For reference, regarding my previous problems (screen corruption and

failed to resume from hibernate one time, and it later came up with this

looking at it I don't think the backtrace is any more useful than the
one mentioned. It doesn't seem there are debug symbols for the
libQtDBus.so.4 library.

I'm still getting this basic problem with Jaunty. The error message has
changed now - instead it flashes up this:
Failed to contact Strigi indexer (Could not get owner of name
'org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstrigiservice': no such name)
...before returning to "Strigi service not running"

This is still happening very regularly (about 50% of the time I resume
from suspend).
I've found that if I disable swap, something similar happens — very
unresponsive system, massive disk activity, very high CPU activity
(without it being attributed to any one process - according to top it's

I can confirm this - I will attach two landscape A4 PDFs showing this.
First PDF, booking_form_2006 (can't remember the exact origin), displays
correctly in KPDF, and prints correctly. (Though in the print preview,
the top left icon displays correctly, but the first page displays
elongated vertica

Anthony: could you explain? I am simply suggesting that the service
menu linked to, which doesn't depend on Python, be included in kubuntu-
default-settings, like the other service menu in there. Its
dependencies seem to be: kdesu, kfmclient, test and kdialog, all of

I'm running Dapper now, and I've come across similar problems again.
'Find file' doesn't appear in any view profiles that I have. I don't
know why this is. It doesn't bother me, since I use other methods, and
the main KDE menu has an item for this on it.

In a Gutsy system upgraded from Feisty, I am unable to change the file
manager away from Dolphin to anything else. My changes revert.
Steps:
1) In Konqueror configuration or control panel, choose 'File Associations'
module
2) Select inode/directory
3) Choose Dolphin and pre
The bug also occurs with dragging tasks around in the 'to-do' list.
Basically, apart from initial creation, nothing updates/refreshes
immediately in the whole window.

kdelibs (or something), as I've discovered exactly the same thing is
happening with all file associations. They appear to change, but when
