How to Fix the inkscape globalmenu problem on 10.04 Lucid
First I removed globalmenu and Inkscape and reinstalled Inskscape but the
problem persisted!
I believe i has something to do with the fact that my Lucid installation
is actually an Upgrade (from 8.04) rather than an actual installation.
Same problem in my pingus.

Hello,
I have this exact same problem with:
Inkscape 0.47 r22583 (Apr 4 2010)
globalmenu-panel-applet 0.7.5
I am running a 10.04 fully updated that was upgraded from a Hardy
installation.
Starting from the command line I get:
$ inkscape
GLib-GObject-ERROR **: Attempt to add property GtkMenuB
Just an update:
I removed the globalmenu applet from the panel, logged out and back in
and the problem persists. So I guess this error occurs just by having
globalmenu installed. :-( to bad for me...
