Every so often, I get a kernel panic. The machine locks up solid, Caps
Lock light is blinking, there's no Scroll Lock. The Alt+SysRq keys
don't work, and I haven't been able to get a panic to happen while the
screen is still on at the console, so I have no dumps or images of

a Live CD environment and got the following log files from /var/log/:

No problem getting hints either! The log file you're looking for is
either /var/log/daemon.log and/or /var/log/syslog. You can get just the
relevant logs by running one of these commands, depending on the file
you want to look at.

Are you using Thunderbird 2 from the Ubuntu repositories? This issue is
not fixed in Thunderbird 2, nor is it likely to become fixed. This is
only solved in the Thunderbird 3 beta since beta 4pre.

I can confirm that maximized windows in Ubuntu Jaunty will still cast a
shadow onto other workspaces. I believe this bug has enough information
for a developer to begin work, so I will set this as Triaged and let
them take it
