Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we require some additional information from you before we can begin work on this issue:
What version of Ubuntu are you running? You can quickly find this by going to the System menu and choosing About Ubuntu. Your Ubuntu version is under the Ubuntu logo. What version of Thunderbird are you running? You can easily find this in Thunderbird by going to the Help menu and choosing About Mozilla Thunderbird. Do you have the 'thunderbird-traybiff' package installed? This package provides a tray icon to notify you of new messages. You can check this by opening Synaptic Package Manager (System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager) and searching for "thunderbird-traybiff" (without the quotes). If it is installed, the square to the left of the name will be green. If not, can you please install it (click the square and choose "Mark for Installation", then click Apply) and see if this is still an issue? Thanks in advance! ** Changed in: mozilla-thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- No notifcation when new mails arrive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
