It seems that this bug is fixed in 8.10 Alpha 5 (2.6.27). I tried coping three times with big files and it didn't fail (because of the random character it is probably fixed, not sure) I was not able to test with 2.6.26 because the Alpha 4 iso was removed of the Ubuntu site. -- usbstick fails in

I think this bug is fixed. I booted and did shut down ten times with the splash screen and everything worked fine. (problem is that the bug did not show up at every shutdown in my case) Further: I have no clue if I am using this new PSB driver from Intel (I assume Ubuntu 7.10 fixed this for me).
