I installed a new hardware for my file server/http server box. The
previous hardware was using fast ethernet. The new hardware uses gigabit
ethernet. I made a clean install of Ubuntu 9.04 server (32 bits version)
and configured samba. When trying to transfer large files (in the
gigabytes range

I solved the problem by running on the server the following command
(found in the discussion of bug #60764):
sudo ethtool -K eth0 rx off tx off
I have not checked what this command does, but it just works. Now I get
transfers rates ~20MB/s over NFS and Samba, which is, I think,

No problem, I'm okay with the security side of things as I don't mind
re-building the kernel each time however the kernel built fine but
neither removing nor changing the "eKTH I2C touchscreen" to a module
made my touchpad work.
I wonder if this is because I have the touchscreen model as that work

Firefox 11.0's printing, as it did not occur in 3.6. This problem seems

As far as I can see "Details" is a super-set of "Simple". Both have a
"Destination" option that can be set to "Source directory".
Please look carefully and if you can't find it, make a screen shot.

soundKonverter is a KDE application. It integrates with KDE file
managers by creating .desktop files during run-time. This way the user
can right-click on a file and select "actions" -> "convert with
soundkonverter". Adding file-type associations would conflict with that.

there aren't any bug fixes in the pipe line and it might be a good point to
