I don't think it's soundkonverter's fault and I can't reproduce it with kdebase4-workspace 4.11.17. I can't come up with any idea why soundkonverter could be causing this. My absolutely wild guess would be that you added soundkonverter to list of applications that can open folders (inode/directory mime type) and the trash applet chooses it to open the trash folder.
