I just dug through branch ~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu/trusty/grub2/trusty
(revision 2363) and found that GRUB still creates all lowercase labelled
UEFI boot menu entries (see attached photo).

The issue does not occur anymore. It has been fixed, but not completely
satisfactory, by a workaround in the kernel to use an older backlight
control method than one comparable to Windows 8 which provides a more
finegraned control. All in all backlight control support is back to the
level of quanta

Nexus 4 reliably with Ubuntu via nautilus using gvfs-mtp. Users with

I also do experience this issue in 13.10. After some time the icon for
the mouse is displayed where the icon for a missing icon was before. If
remove the wireless receiver and replug it the icon for missing icon is
displayed again. Tested mice: Logitech Performance MX and Logitech
Anywhere Mouse MX
Looks to me like the mouse is initially not properly detected, therefore
declared as an unkown device and since icons for unknown devices seem to

KAlarm window freez
Just received a ST3000DM001 1CH166 hard drive with CC43 firmware today.
Disk does not spin up in any of my computers and external docks. I doubt
that it is Linux related I have 3 older ST3000DM001 9YN166 bought a few
months ago that run fine, will return this disk immediately.
