This bug also affects me on 2.6.24-19-generic with my usb 0ACE:1215 ZyDAS WLA-54L WiFi. However, it only occurs when I'm using network- manager. When I just apt-get remove network-manager and configure my wireless connection manually (with dhcp) in /etc/networking/interface my computer won't crash.
