No, I'm using a fresh Ubuntu install with my [8086:2a02] (rev 0c) (Sony VAIO VGN-NR230AE). Using default settings X will freeze, but when I set AccelMethod to "UXA" everything runs fine. If it still freezes with UXA then it's probably an unrelated issue.
