Same problem here on i386. This bug should be marked confirmed. The warning "** (zapping:5725): WARNING **: GConf key '/apps/zapping/plugins/deinterlace/method' is unset and has no default. Schemas incomplete or not installed?" has nothing to do with it though. Setting that gconf key by hand makes the warning disappear but the program still will crash.
