This is maybe terrible, because you must get the root power by grub (recover
mode)
and fix the /etc/hosts file to correctly. Or you almost can't do anything(a lot

I can confirm this bug. I did a clean edgy install couple of weeks ago.
Update-manager informs correctly about new packages, but when I click
install packages it just examines, last thing it prints is Reading state
information and then goes back to shot the upgradable packages. To

installation of msttcorefonts aborts in an upgraded system and also in a
new installed dapper system. Don't know if somebody has an idea to
this??

Anyways, this has been also forwarded to upstream author and he has
committed the patch to svn.

I have tried both rc13-0ubuntu1 and rc13-0ubuntu2 and neither seems to
be populating /dev/mapper for me on my SI 3112 fakeraid adapter. If I
boot with break=mount (or wait until I'm dumped into a busybox shell), I
can see that dmraid is picking up my raid set with dmraid -tay, but
dmraid -ay does n
It worked fine between those crashes, even with plugins installed and
even on flashsites. I can say this for kubuntu and ubuntu.
Let me explain it more detailed:
I started with dapper working only in ubuntu desktop
after that i upgraded to edgy still ubuntu an run into the firefox
flash-problem.

Reinhard, since I was curious as well, I've been looking at the code
yesterday: The target string is most of the time a char[6] (the function
is called in several places, I'm not sure if I've found all of them).
Nonetheless I'd prefer a patch by upstream as well.
