As far as I know this issue is wide spread to quite a few laptop setups and is specific to 2.6.24-21. * Marking as High Importance due to this fact * Setting as Confirmed as this problem was happening to me since the -21 update. Mind you I didn't realize I had -proposed enabled on this system

I have exactly the same problem. It always happens on S3 Suspend to RAM ("Standby") on Hardy (8.04.1). -19 is working fine, -20 and -21 have the kernel panic error. As my foreposter stated, this error is repeatable, not sporadic. I added a screenshot of my laptop showing the error. System specs
