do appear like that.

So you didn't need to change that.
But the dpi setting only affects the fonts sized in points, not the ones in

Could you give more details please?
Like which dpi settings are you using in gnome?
Did you change firefox config (what is the value of layout.css.dpi in

And finally, how do you notice it has no effects?

Oh my god, this is driving me nuts. Can you stop ignoring me for 5 sec ? You
either have to justify why you ignore me, or you listen to me. Pick your choice.
If it's the second one, then I'm telling you that it's already working, so
there is no bug upstream, and no need to bother them.
Thanks.

I believe it works fine when you increase Xft dpi (like setting it to 120), but
not when you decrease it (eg 85).

I did further testing with firefox dpi settings, and I found something new,
depending whether Xft.dpi is set or not, the behavior will not be the same.
Also, firefox 1.5 seems awfully broken, while firefox 2.0 behaves much more

However, if a dpi lower than 96 is used, firefox will stay at 96 (since

Using firefox 2.0b1 on edgy, the screen.resolution setting has been removed.
It has also been removed from the ui.
However, there is now a layout.css.dpi setting, which is set to -1 by default,
which means a minimum of 96 dpi :
