Don't think it is fixed.

Chris,
the problem here is that what's on the official Ubuntu repositories is

Um, installing software from outside the official Ubuntu repositories
isn't really the best first advice to give.
Miro crashing like that suggests that it's a Xine bug. It should be
easy enough to test whether other applications can play the video, or to
check whether switching to the GStreamer b

Sorry, I didn't realize that Hardy is using such an old version of miro.
I've updated to the latest version and this problem doesn't occur
anymore. How it still can play the video properly. It's just too slow.
I've reported that bug in the miro bugsite already..

You're hitting a known (but somewhat crazy) bug in Java. Installing
icedtea-java7 should fix that error for you.
Additionally, can people who are *not* using a Miro package from the
official Ubuntu repositories please refrain from posting their bugs
here? I can't do anything about your problems
Same problem or similar: Miro only crash when it is searching Miro

versions that are included in the repository. I don't know if this
error is related to this bug or if it's a new one to be treated
elsewhere... Thanks.

The problem lies in the xine renderer, somehow.
