Sorry for having been unclear. It's a freeze more than a crash.

(miro then freezes and the only thing I can do is close it)

Nothing about miro in /var/crash.
I suspect it's a problem of the movie library (I don't know what miro use on 
gutsy).
If I watch a movie and then go to the next movie (using forward button) it 
doesn't freeze. If I keep going to the next movie in that channel until I get 
back in the channel list of videos Miro won't freeze if I try to play another 
video.
I guess you could work around it terminating the video player in the same way 
you do when you reaching the end of the channel (using the fwd button).
