Looking (very briefly) at the source seems like there are only xine renderer and gstreamer renderer. I heard they use vlc on windows and wonder why they don't offer it on linux. If they don't solve this bug the very next release, a gui option to switch back and forth beetwen gstreamer and xine without messing with gConf would be appreciated.
