Yes, I switched to 1.1-1 because Gutsy Miro was having the very same problem.

I am playing youtube videos (flv). Totem-xine plays them with no
problem.

Let's make it more clear:
   - miro crash happen every time one follows the steps to reproduce I gave in 
the bug description.
   - miro *doesn't* crash if you skip to the next video and next and next 
again, until you get back to the main menu. playing another video won't crash 
it now.

Seems like:
   - xine is not properly removed from memory / deinitializated / nuked / (add 
you own) when you stop it in the middle of a video. The next video will crash.

I really don't know if the bug lies in miro's  xinerenderer or it's a problem 
from xine that other application workaround in someway.
My workaround was to avoid using xinerenderer (using gconf-editor, see my 
comment above).
