I tested it on a freshly installed jaunty - internal microphone doesn't
record neither arecord, gnome-sound-recorder nor skype, tried to route
it through pulse or directly through alsa in the sound preferences.
External microphone works so the bug has either been only partly

It worked quite nice after some recent upgrades, but since the final
upgrades to jaunty it is broken again. Btw, the automatic suspend when
battery is low still works, the problem only appears after manual
suspend/resume.
Is there any additional information I can provide to help to re-resolve

I had a repeatedly similar problems using an AR242x in an EeePC with
kernel 2.6.27-8-eeepc. Sometimes the NetworkManager can't connect
anymore after a resume, but still shows a list of networks. After
restarting the Networkmanager the network list has disappeared.

either via $ echo disk > /sys/power/stat, $ s2disk or $ pm-hibernate)
The output of s2disk (log level 8) stops when trying to suspend the consoles
and suggests:

Since Intrepid Suspend2Ram is a big fu**up on my Laptop (Asus Z53Sv),
and it's getting worse with every update. In 2.6.27-10 it did work
occasionally, in 2.6.27-11 fails every time. Here are the symptoms:

The root of the problem was a future timestamp of the fdi-cache:

suspend/resume was working like a charme. As resume is broken completely

I have the same/similar problems when printing from inkscape or
acroread. As acroread uses lpr I doubt it has something to do with
kdegraphics/kprinter. So the problem must be in cups or in the driver.

after upgrade to intrepid, acpid did not work anymore (nothing happens
on key events or power state changes)
I have discovered, that it works as usual when started in debug mode
(/etc/default/acpid:OPTIONS="-s /var/run/acpid.socket --debug" ), but
I've found out, that the problem lies in the permissions of /etc/shadow,
which were wrong in my system for some reason, as I explained it in
#279560. So if this gets fixed (I assume in base-passwd), the
permissions of kcheckpass can be set the following way:
$ sudo chgrp /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kche
I found out, that the problem lies in the permissions of /etc/shadow
resp. /sbin/unix_chkpwd
I assume, /etc/shadow should be owned by the group 'shadow', but for
some reason it had this permissions:
$ ls -l /etc/shadow

having an SD card inserted, it isn't automounted, due to the settings in

wasn't able to unlock, until I did a 'sudo chmod 4755
