Agreed. This behavior makes baobab nearly useless for anybody with cifs
or other mounts inside the partition they want to scan. Ideally, the
preferences window would show all mounts and allow you to de-select
anything you didn't want scanned. As it is, the only device shown in the
preferences windo

My suggestion would be for it to look at the filesystem type. If it's
not a CD filesystem, then don't display the message about being a
"picture CD".
Either way, I guess that would be something for the developer to decide
as he/she is probably more knowledgable than I.

It's becoming clearer to me now... there IS a folder called pictures on
the drive. In the screenshot I attached above I had moved all folders
into the 'tmp' folder to simplify things for you guys. But I suspect
that I should have unmounted/remounted after moving the files to tmp.

That's what I would have thought too, but if you see my final comment
it makes the problem more interesting. The picture cd is only
detected if I mount via cifs. If I mount via smbfs, it does not
identify the mount as a picture cd. The content is exactly the same
in both cases.

I run metacity so I don't think it's a compiz issue.

After today's intrepid update, I got the restricted drivers notification
on my desktop for the first time. I had it install the nvidia driver
(96) and restarted X. Now it's stuck with the VESA driver and I can't
get over 800x600 resolution.

This one is definitely Intrepid only; never had this issue on Hardy.

It is reproducible. Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a Nautilus window (to any folder, doesn't matter)
2. Right-click on a folder in that window, click "Create archive..."
3. A "Create Archive" dialog pops up. Click the "Create" button.
4. Error occurs.

I enable remote desktop, restart gdm (just to be sure), log back in and
then try to connect to the desktop from another machine using vncviewer.
I get a connection refused. Looking at a process listing on the ibex
box I see no vino-server process ru

I do Places->Connect to Server->Windows share, enter the info and
connect. An icon pops up on the desktop for the share but an error
dialog also pops up that says "Cannot display location . The
specified location is not mounted.
I click Ok on that dialog box and then click
