I downloaded the adobe flashplayer after the two available ubuntu flash
players failed to work. I can now play flash video but it is very jerky
- 2 or 3 frames per second - in either small or full screen

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought I had closed this. I sold my computer

Ubuntu 9.04. Anything downloaded from or viewed on the internet is very
jerky in full screen mode. BBC I player, Firefox, Opera, Epiphany - all
have the same problem. Sound quality on all formats; music, DVD,

I used IE6,7 and I think 8. All had problems. I have tried Epiphany and Opera
and they run much smoother, no sound issues, though any web content watched in
full screen is jerky. Firefox though is unwatchable in fullscreen.
