Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
Ubuntu 9.10. This is nothing to do with firefox (tho that crashes all the time) I have an ever present clicking/interference sound. Two three seconds silence then a split second of what sounds like either an amplifier being turned on or clicking or sometimes whitenoise type interference. It varies between the three sounds. Volume control makes no difference to the volume of the sound. It is also ever present, from the moment I switch the computer on until I switch it off. In every package - movieplayer, firefox, no application at all, rhythmbox etc etc. No problems until I upgraded to 9.10. Ant ideas cheers Kelv ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Nov 23 22:19:31 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: firefox-3.5 3.5.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: firefox-3.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:1550): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1621): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed (nautilus:1606): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (yelp:2236): Yelp-WARNING **: Yelper initialization failed for 0x8883af0 ** Affects: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- constant clicking/interference sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/487783 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
