I strongly suggest you to install the client and server on different
machine as it's not possible to have both install on the same. Take it
as a fact.

I notice the problem was related to multiple factor including the
metacity compositing, the bad video driver, some flaw in xorg, etc. I
manage to fix most of the performance issue by a regression to metacity
2.24 (from hardy) and using the Karmic kernel.
Sine I upgrade to Karmic now, this problem

I've do some research today about this problem as I find it really
annoying.
On my side the problem wasn't solved in Jaunty. Rythmbox or Tomet was
using 17% of the CPU. My research lead my to alsa. It's seams to be an
issue of the sample rate withing the dmix of default alsa device use by

evince cannot print the attached PDF file that contained fields.
While I open this PDF file, evince print this line several time :
Error: font resource is not a dictionary
/var/log/syslog contain nothing wrong.
I Use Gusty Gibbon, with evince 2.

Maybe you can give us your note to install iFolder server on dapper.
Because, fowling the specified document you mention I can't build
iFolder. I get some strange error. I don't think it's the good place to
explain my self here.

I re-confirm the needs the get a package for the client and the server
version of iFolder for Ubuntu Gusty at first and for the current server
version of Ubuntu, Dapper. More over, it's could be interesting to
create a virtual machine with iFolder server. I can manage this my self
