configuration, Konqueror tells me that popups are blocked and that I
should click on “this icon” in the status bar to configure popups.

KWin, not Compiz, and several people reported that they have no problems

I have tried, accessing http://mundoplus.tv/ from the Ubuntu Live CD.
The system hangs before the contents of the browser window have changed.
The progress bar on the bottom right stays at about 80 %. The mouse
pointer moves only jumpy and is not animated anymore (i.e., the

disappears (screen goes black) and immediately reappears. So there is

described here. dfaure wrote about red dots which I never experienced.
On the other hand, he says that he didn’t experienced problems with
NVidia while others reported here that they did.

Kernel 2.6.29.1 didn’t work for me. Same problems as with the Ubuntu
kernel. Maybe it actually doesn’t even work if you think it does since
these crashes seem to occur rather unpredictably. Sometimes they occur
very frequently, sometimes there are no crashes for one or two days.

Does the ACPI/APIC thing have something to do with this bug at all? This

I have upgraded to kdelibs5-4:4.2.2-0ubuntu5 now and the problem is
*not* fixed. At least, entries in Kicker are still untranslated. I see
“Web Browser”, “System Settings” and “File Manager” instead of the
German “Webbrowser”, “Systemeinstellung” (or however it’s translated”
and “Dateimanager”.

Maybe I should add this: After this problem occured, I reset the
computer, of course. When KDM had started again, I noticed a slight
flickering of the screen, maybe caused by the backlight. This went away
after a few minutes.
