I have the same problem as Jeremy Wilkins (same output logs, etc.). The
Synaptics touchpad on my Gateway machine resumes properly in Windows XP,
but not on Ubuntu 9.10. None of the workarounds mentioned in the thread
work for me to revive the mouse after resuming from suspend.

Create or copy files to test the transfer with.
Rename them to contain special characters. Especially files should contain the

I want to add this detail. The File lenght on the Target Share was not
an issue. There were files in the same folder with longer filenames. But

Haha I found the windows again.. with compizconfig-settings-manager I
turned on vertical and horizontal workspaces and look what I found in

I can confirm this problem also on a real dual screen setup.
I found a test case that causes windows to disappear. Dual Screen. This
is what i experience when I enable the full desktop effect appearance:
The window elastic effect causes problems. The window glues to the
'wrong spots' in the origin

Well, i came from Bug #202959 to this one since it's the upgrade problem
and not a memory problem.
I did terminate the stalled processes multiple times from other shells,
reconfigured and rebooted.
