A good way to find out such is to look at Launchpad

Any Release/Version is listed there – use the arrows to exand the view.
You can just simply countercheck your installation (via konsole/command-
line):

Well, before you come back on me – let's just face the facts:
Muon has been replaced by Plasma discover. The main difference is that
Plasma-Discover relies in Appstrem, but Muon-Package-Manager would use
APT.
The assumption is then, the Driver-Manager needs QApt, which probably
get dragged in, wh

Under the assumption that issue is solved with the coressponding KDE-
Application.
In KDE you can always switch-off hardware-graphics-acceleration
(effects) temporarely by pressing:
ALT+shift+F12
This will of course also extend battery

The desktop has to my knowledge in at least the last five years never
been officially updated – just via the Kubuntu-Developers/Packagers PPA.
Ubuntu has shortend it's Release-cycle a while ago to a period of 9 month to
catch up, even with overlapping LTS-Releases.
