Here's what I've got so far: First off, my system can't see the usb
drive I inserted (even after I did a cold boot). As a result, I'm unable
to copy the requested logs and upload them using the laptop I'm working
from now :(
However, I took a look at term.log (nothing jumps out as being an issue)

After being prompted to update from 22.04 to 24.04, the upgrade went
smoothly...until it didn't. Now, I'm faced with the 'white screen of
death'. After figuring out how to get to GRUB v2.12, I tried every
recovery mode available; yet ended up with the same unenviable result
(unable to recover). The

any of the kernels listed (6.8.0-44-generic, 5.15.0-119-generic and
5.15.0-118). However, I am able to boot into recovery mode and get to
command line. But from there, I'm stuck.

@juergh Unfortunately, no. And I'm unsure why I can't. Is there a
specific set of commands to execute after selecting a previous kernel? I
haven't had to use grub, so please forgive my ignorance. Any help is
appreciated.

I am happy to comply Juerg Haefliger with your request for
/var/log/apt/term.log and history.log unfortunately I cannot login. I am
able to get to GRUB yet would like assistance to get back up and
running. If there is a way to provide these logs from GRUB, I welcome
your advice. Thank you!
