Just noticed that I can drag things if I use my trackpoint instead of my
touchpad. This reminded me that I use the buttons associated with the
trackpoint because the ones associated witth the touchpad are physically
broken. So that's maybe a clue. This was testing today's daily build.

This problem disappears when I switched back in gconf to having the
screen lock on resume. So the error only happens when the screen lock
has been disabled.
(Sorry to not have mentioned that my settings were modified. It just
didn't occur to me until I reinstalled and saw the screen lock again.

Occasionally Firefox will fail to load a page even though the Network
Manager icon displays a strong connection. When I reselect the network
that I'm supposedly already connected to the spinning connecting icon

Using uswsusp via s2disk works once, but if I try to hibernate a second
time I get a cursor on a blank screen on resume. Music resumes, but I
can't get a virtual terminal or ctrl-alt-backspace to restart x.
Suspend to ram and disk worked fine on

In Feisty the options for automatic updates in the Software Sources
window are unclear.
Currently they are:
-Install security updates without confirmation.
-Download all updates in the background
-Only Notify about updates

Restarting doesn't make songs show up reliably - I'm not sure what does.
They seem to trickle in, first a few tracks from an album, then more,
then the rest. The songs that won't import also won't play in rhythmbox
from the context menu in nautilus, but they'll open in totem or play in
the preview
Following the instructions in Kernel Suspend Debugging,
I found this line in my dmesg.log: "hash matches device ptyte."
The instructions are to remove that module before initiating suspend.
I don't know how to do that, or what that module is. Could I safely try

That's how I understood it, but I'm the opposite of an expert. Running
compiz or beryl in feisty, the logout fade is simply gone, though the
same old choppy fade is still used for gksudo.
