That patched kernel seems to do the trick, though other things are a
little funky right now (the dialog on resume waits forever to confirm my
password, and trying to cheat by switching users, which used to take me
to gdm, now strands me at a blank screen - but these seem like separate
bugs). The current (newer) standard 2.6.32.14 kernel doesn't even go to
sleep properly, which I hope isn't a separate regression.
