First I tried this for a few day with Debian Wheezy beta RC, now again with
XUbuntu, doing frequent reboots, no hanging boot process occured anymore. The
issue has been fixed.

actually the installation itself was done with an Athlon 64 X2e , 45 W @ 2,5

to the standard-system for AMD64-architecture, because most PC do support

Upon installation of version 10.10 the first thing offered was an upgrade of
the OS to 11.04. That took quite some time.

phoronix-test-suite , but found that most of those benchmarks do not work at
all.
