Public bug reported:

Installation went fine, the normal AMD64-desktop version was used to set up the
opeating system. Upon installation online-updates were set up, I attach
/etc/default/grub, which was altered because of messy or not displayable
boot-grapghics. Upon the proprietary graphics driver gnome-desktop-environment
was set up using synaptic, finally I added 'cpufreqd' an 'cpufreqd-utils'.
So the changed /etc/cpufreqd.conf is also attached. Enabling CPU- frequency
scaling led to CPU-speed being displayed correctly within 'hardinfo'.
