I'm using UW-IMAP and not having this problem. The problem I encounter is that any message moved from the inbox in squirrelmail cannot be accessed via pop3. I understand why, but getting my users to understand is a different issue, and the "real" problem. ;) I don't know whether this is an issue

Regarding POP3 and IMAP mixed. We are using SM and if people check their mail using the web interface, the messages they display will then not be downloaded to their POP3 clients when they check their mail with the client. Making everything IMAP is not an option in this case. The only reason
