I'm using UW-IMAP and not having this problem. The problem I encounter is that any message moved from the inbox in squirrelmail cannot be accessed via pop3. I understand why, but getting my users to understand is a different issue, and the "real" problem. ;) I don't know whether this is an issue with other IMAP/POP combos.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark that you're using UW-IMAP?
