The new openssl binaries appear to install a new version of ca-bundle.crt.
They happily overwrite the existing file. If you've created your own
certificate authority to self sign crts and added it to the ca-bundle.crt
file...well, it's gone. You'll need to add it again.

I discovered that openssl-0.9.6.9 appears not to have undefined
references. That came out two security updates ago, however.

I'm trying to install Cyrus in my RH7 (2.2.16-22) box
When I do:
rpm -Uvh cyrus-imapd-2.0.9-3.i386.rpm
I get:
error: failed dependencies:
libcrypto.so.1 is needed by cyrus-imapd-2.0.9-3
libssl.so.1 is needed by cyrus-imapd-2.0.9-3

There are four "openssh-*" packages; you need all four. You also need the
two "openssl-*" packages. Install the openssl packages first; it doesn't
matter which one goes f

I'm a bumbler in the world of Linux thus far. I'm trying to install, OpenSSL, for
OpenSSH,
etc. I get a bunch of error messages when I do the make install. under the
crypto/objects directory I get a long list of undeclared variables.
