If anyone is looking to purchase a really great shell programming book I
recommend the following book. "Portable Shell Programming" by Bruce
Blinn. Its small but it contains excellent examples and explanations for
someone trying to learn. I have been using it for two years now and I
have found
an $10, about 100 pages and nearly priceless for getting the basics down
quickly.
