2000-04-27 Thread Manuel Antonio Camacho Quesada
The information you are giving is not enough to help. You require to know the SiS model number of your video card. Actually, the XFree86 that comes with RH 5.2 will not support many SiS cards (there are some versions of RH after 5.2: 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2, which is the "current"). After looking at th

I've never done this, but should be something as: 1.) Run fdisk, be careful to modify only your swap. 2.) Remove swap. 3.) Recreate swap the size you want. 4.) Use the remaining space for a new partition. 5.) Move there the data you want. -Manuel. > -Mensaje original- > De: eric clover

1. Please turn HTML off when sending messages to Linux lists. 2. Look at your /usr/doc directory. 3. If you have RH 6.2, there is a CD with all the documentation. 3. www.linux.org is a good place to search for them, too. -Manuel. -Mensaje original- De: Stephen Liu [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECT

I have an 18 GB HDD (IDE-SEAGATE), and Linux install recognized it automatically. I just booted from the CD, gave no information about the drive on any prompt, and DiskDruid found the drive with no problem at all. -Manuel. > -Mensaje original- > De: Steve Lee [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] >

Where can I find the meaning of the error signals? I've got an error signal 7 and an error signal 9 during install and have no idea what they mean. Thanks a lot. -Manuel. -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.

Hi! Maybe you can try changing the display and the video card, just to check if you have a hardware problem. All monitors I've seen blinking one way or the other are just about to burn. On the other hand, you may check the frequency you have set for your monitor. -Manuel. > -Mensaje origina

Hi, Mike! I *guess* it uses the SVGA server, as I checked yesterday for a Diamond A50, and most of their cards work this way. But, I am sure you would preffer to check for your specific card yourself at www.redhat.com/hardware on the 6.2 intel's hardware section, XFree86 subsection. -Manuel. >
