Hello, Morse!
I am setting a nice box for myself in a very limited system. It is an AMD
586 (no more than a 5x 486) with 8 MB of RAM, a VGA card, an IDE 541 MB HDD,
and a 48x IDE CD-ROM, and a US Robotics 14400 bps internal modem. Actually,
everything came out from the deepest parts of my closet.
I am not an RPM expert, but I would try to rebuild the RPM database first
(look at the man page for this. It is pretty easy). Then I would try to
"upgrade" the packages with rpm -Uvh instead of rpm -ivh.

The information you are giving is not enough to help.
You require to know the SiS model number of your video card. Actually, the
XFree86 that comes with RH 5.2 will not support many SiS cards (there are
some versions of RH after 5.2: 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2, which is the "current").

I've never done this, but should be something as:

5.) Move there the data you want.

Hi, Mike!
I *guess* it uses the SVGA server, as I checked yesterday for a Diamond A50,
and most of their cards work this way. But, I am sure you would preffer to
check for your specific card yourself at www.redhat.com/hardware on the 6.2

I have got no mail from the list since Saturday. I checked the archives at
www.moongroup.com and did not find any message newer than Saturday 8th.. Is
the list down or was I unsubscribed? Thanks a lot.

I looked for this in the archives with no luck.
How can I print the info pages?
Thanks.

Hi, Gustav!
I haven´t seen it "in person", and I do not know if is supported by Linux,
but there is a gadget called "pc buddy" that let you connect an extra
monitor and keyboard to your system and get it working as terminal.
Hope this helps.

Hi!
I have no idea about the max size, but, wouldn't it be better to have two
drives half size each? That would improve search speed...

You can find it also in magazine's cd's. I have 'bout three of them from
different sources, and I got StarOffice last month in a ~$10 magazine...
