Not sure what you mean by alternatives, but I've been using cups for awhile with all the additional drivers on 7.2 I got the rpm from rawhide and I belive it can be used with lprng installed too? all the print commands end in .cups though. The version is 1.1.14-5 Best regards, Andy Judge

Hal, I do not see any information suggesting that alternatives is part of cups and on rpmfind.net it is not listed as part of the package. The version for connectiva linux that is available on rpmfind.net does not seem to satisfy the requirements of cups 1.1.14-15 that is part of rh 7.3 [v
