is there a document that explains, in detail, how to do, under
linux, what most people do under windows at the moment? more and
more, i have clients who tell me that they would at least consider
migrating to linux if they knew how to do, under linux, all the
stuff they're doing under windows.

as examples, how do i read DOS floppies? (mtools) how can i
view pdf files (xpdf, for one) how can i view gifs and jpegs?
(ee, for one). how can i mount filesystems remotely? (NFS, with
a windows client)

the list goes on, of course, but it would be priceless to have
a doc that just lists, briefly in bullet point form, possibly
with URLs, how to do all of these things.

  does one exist?
