I'd try the netstat command, and perhaps even download the trafshow
utility off the Net to see exactly what is going on as far as outbound
traffic is concerned. Also take a look at your /var/log/messages,
/var/log/xferlog and /var/log/maillog to see if someone is using your box

changed my printer to an HP1100 and added it to the setup in my control panel.
The problem is Star Office is not recognizing it as my default printer. Can any

be displayed? If there is not much data you could use forms and us
javascript to change the values in an input field or textarea(I don't know
for sure about text areas.).

I had this until I took out the multicast line in /etc/ntp/ntp.conf (the one
where is says it defaults to 224.0.1.1 which I definitely don't need). Look

You may have to try a different Adaptec card. I had an Adaptec 7850 on
board scsi that refused to work reliably. I eventually just put in a
different Adaptec controller. I do not think that Linux supports the 7800
series Adaptec cards very well.
