playing audio cd's! I also get the same boot messages. I thought that
this problem might be related to another difficulty I have had with the cd

6.1 on a fresh box and wanted to update the rpm's vi updates.redhat.com and it

I've got it working through plain RH5.0, 5.2 and 6.0 masquerade
firewalls with no problems or additional modules. I've also run it over
Free/SWAN IPSec with no changes.

On my Toshiba T8000 with a fresh load of RH 6.1 (w/ updates

I ocassionaly mount cdroms and export them through nfs. The problem is
that I can't unmount the cd without stopping and restarting nfs.
I first remove the reference to /mnt/cdrom from /etc/exports and then:
[root@wamego /etc]# umount /mnt/cdrom
umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy

try chmod a+r /dev/cdrom

I set up all the required info thru RP3 and config tools and can
make a connection to my ISP thru the dialup config tool using
debug. It then disconnects and dials again.
RH PPP dialer doesn't dial and Netscape gives an error messsage

That is exactely the same error i get when i try to mount
a audio cd. I tried to check the cd with cdparanoia and
it says that /dev/hdc is not a cd-rom and not a scsi cd-rom
which i know its not. I thought that all IDE CD-Rom's did
work the same but apparently it doesn't. Anyway i will keep

something like amanda, lonetar, bru or whatever. But since mail changes daily I
do a full-backup to an HP 12/24GB SCSI DLT drive with an 18GB SCSI drive.

I recommend dump which is free. Also cpio works fine and you can easily
craft up something with a few lines of shell and a cron job. I've heard
lots of talk about amanda as well, which is dump on speed, but provides a
