You cannot change the grp or any permissions of a dos/win partition
"on the fly".
The filesystem just don't deal with specific permission (someone correct me if
I am wrong)
You need to mount your disk by somebody of the vmware group to do
get the vmware grp onwership.

is pretty new. I have an nVidia GeForce AGP256 Video card and a 34 gig hard
drive, Ultra-Dma 66 Controller with a Pentium III 733. I can install Red Hat
6.1, but it doesn't recognize my video card or my controller.

I apologize to Roberta for the mistake. However, it seems to me if she
does want to use Disk Druid, she still can by the expedient of doing
an "upgrade" on the machine. That would allow her to partition any new
drives that she may have, or to repartition any unused partitions. She
doesn't,
What kind of webcams will work with linux? I know USB won't, without the
patch for 2.2 kernels anyway.. Are there any that work for linux?

I have recently upgraded a laptop from redhat 5.2 to redhat 6.1 and
everything woorks well except for the pcmcia service. When "cardctl
config" is run I get the error no pcmcia drivers in /proc/devices.
Can anyone tell me whats going wrong? The same setup worked by default in
redhat 5.2.
